AI Beacon Terms of Service

By requesting and activating a license for AI Beacon, you (the "Licensee" or "Agency") agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Licensing model

Per-domain license: Each AI Beacon license is valid for one (1) Top-Level Domain (TLD). Subdirectories (e.g., example.com/blog) are covered under the root license. Subdomains (e.g., shop.example.com) require a separate license.

Annual term: Licenses are valid for twelve (12) months from the date of successful provisioning. The provisioning date is confirmed in writing at the time of installation completion. Renewal notices are calculated from this date.

Bulk order anniversary: All licenses within a bulk order share a single Master Anniversary Date, established on the date the first domain in the order is successfully provisioned. Subsequent licenses in the same bulk order are renewed on this shared date regardless of individual provisioning dates.

Unprovisioned licenses: Licenses purchased as part of a bulk order must be assigned to a domain and submitted for provisioning within 60 days of the order date. Unprovisioned licenses that exceed this window do not extend the Master Anniversary Date and remain pending without deferring the renewal obligation.

Mid-year additions: Additional licenses added to an existing agency account outside of the original bulk order are prorated to align with the account's Master Anniversary Date. Prorated amounts are calculated and invoiced at the time of the additional request.

Non-transferable: Once a license is activated and locked to a domain, it cannot be moved to a different domain except in cases of site rebranding, subject to approval by AI Beacon support.

2. Fees and manual billing

Annual fee: The current rate is $500 USD per year, per domain.
Manual fulfillment: AI Beacon does not use automated recurring billing. You will receive an invoice via email 30 days prior to expiration.

Payment terms: Provisioning is scheduled upon receipt of cleared funds. Failure to renew by the expiration date will result in the license status moving to "Expired," which disables the dynamic /md/ and llms.txt endpoints.

Bulk pricing: Discounts are available for multi-domain orders placed simultaneously in a single request. Bulk pricing is not retroactive and does not apply to licenses purchased in separate transactions.

3. Provisioning and installation

Managed installation: AI Beacon licenses include installation and configuration of the plugin by the AI Beacon team. A firm provisioning timeline and payment invoice are provided prior to any work beginning. Standard provisioning is completed within two (2) business days of cleared payment, subject to access being provided as described below.
Scope of installation: Installation covers AI Beacon plugin configuration only. We do not perform general site maintenance, theme or plugin conflict resolution, or remediation of pre-existing server errors. Sites submitted for installation are expected to be stable and functional WordPress environments.

Access requirements: The Licensee is responsible for providing all required access credentials — including WordPress administrator access and, where applicable, hosting provider control panel access — within 72 hours of payment being received and a provisioning window being scheduled. Delays in providing required access are not grounds for a refund or expedited scheduling.
Stale requests: If required access is not provided within 72 hours of the scheduled provisioning window, the request is considered stale and will be rescheduled at the next available time. Rescheduling is billed at the standard rate of $250 USD per hour, with a minimum charge of one (1) hour.

Environment readiness: The Licensee is responsible for ensuring the hosting environment remains stable and accessible for the duration of the provisioning window. If access is revoked, credentials change, or the environment is modified after approval but before installation is complete, the provisioning window resets and rescheduling fees apply.

Environment remediation: Where a hosting environment requires remediation work outside the scope of AI Beacon installation — including but not limited to misconfigured caching, plugin conflicts, or non-standard server configurations — AI Beacon will assess the scope and provide a written estimate before proceeding. Remediation work is billed at $250 USD per hour, with a minimum charge of one (1) hour. No remediation work will begin without written approval of the estimate. Remediation billing applies to both pre-existing issues discovered during installation and post-installation conflicts caused by third-party site changes or plugin updates.

4. Software use and support

As-is delivery: AI Beacon provides the technical infrastructure to make your site readable to AI agents. We do not guarantee specific rankings or inclusion in third-party AI datasets, as those are controlled by external entities (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google).

Support: Ongoing technical support is limited to the functionality of the AI Beacon plugin itself. We are not responsible for server-level caching issues, hosting restrictions, or conflicts caused by third-party plugins introduced after installation, though we provide documentation to assist with troubleshooting.

Grace period: The plugin includes a 7-day grace period to ensure site visibility is not interrupted by minor server communication issues between the satellite plugin and the license server.

Updates: Software updates are included in the active license fee. When an update is available, AI Beacon will notify the Licensee via email and schedule an update window. The Licensee is responsible for providing WordPress administrator access within 72 hours of the scheduled window, consistent with the access requirements in Section 3. Stale request terms apply to update windows in the same manner as provisioning. AI Beacon is not responsible for issues arising from a Licensee's failure to respond to an update notice, or from hosting environment modifications that prevent a scheduled update from completing.

5. Agency and client relationship

End-user responsibility: If you are an agency purchasing on behalf of a client, you are responsible for maintaining the license and ensuring the client's site remains compliant with these terms.

No resale: You may charge your clients for the implementation and management of AI Beacon, but you may not resell the software as a standalone product.

6. Intellectual property

The AI Beacon plugin, its code, and the "AI Beacon" brand are the property of AI Beacon. Modification of the core license-checking logic is a violation of this agreement and will result in immediate license termination without refund.

7. Termination

AI Beacon reserves the right to terminate a license if it is found to be used on sites promoting illegal content, or if the license is being used to circumvent the per-domain pricing model.
