This Privacy Policy describes how AI Beacon (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our WordPress plugin and related services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information only as necessary to provide the AI Beacon service and maintain the security and integrity of our licensing system.

Account and Contact Information: When you request a license, we collect your name, agency name, and email address.

Billing Information: Payment processing is handled by third-party providers. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.

Technical Data (The Heartbeat): To validate licenses and provide update notifications, the AI Beacon satellite plugin periodically communicates with our License Server.

2. The License Heartbeat
To ensure active licensing and system compatibility, the following data is transmitted from your server to ours:

License Key: To verify active subscription status.

Domain Name: To ensure the license is being used on the authorized TLD.

Plugin Version: To notify you of required infrastructure updates.

Server IP Address: We collect the Origin Server IP of the hosting environment for security and rate-limiting purposes. We do not collect the IP addresses of your site's end-visitors.

Environment Status: Boolean flags for root_writable and physical_robots_exists to confirm the environment is capable of serving the /md/ and llms.txt endpoints.

Data Retention: Heartbeat data is stored in a rolling log for 90 days for troubleshooting and security auditing, after which it is purged.

3. How We Use Information

Provisioning: To manually install and configure the plugin on your client’s site.

Communication: To send manual invoices, renewal notices, and critical update alerts.

Support: To diagnose issues related to hosting environment compatibility.

Service Providers: We use third-party email delivery services to send transactional messages (invoices and alerts). Your contact data passes through these secured systems for the sole purpose of delivery.

4. Data Security
We implement professional-grade security measures to protect your information. Because AI Beacon acts as an infrastructure layer, we minimize the data collected to reduce the overall "attack surface" for your clients.

5. Third-Party Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to outside parties, except for the trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing your account (e.g., payment processors and email delivery services), so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

6. Your Rights
You may request to view, update, or delete your agency contact information at any time by contacting us. Note that deleting contact information may result in the termination of your license if we are unable to send renewal or security notices.
